About Kelly

Hi, I’m Kelly!

kelly-schwantes-yoga

I’m a passionate yogi, environmentalist, explorer and social media specialist. I advocate for a high vibe life, whatever that looks like to you. For me, that means high vibrational food, drink, company, travel, spiritual practices, teachers and nature.

I’ve bee lucky enough to travel the world from a young age and infuse different cultures from around the world into who I am today. I’m originally from Florida, but have also lived in Costa Rica, Switzerland, Thailand, Australia and Indonesia. Some for smaller stints, others for longer, but always an experience that has shaped my life forever.

I’ve been all over the world, but one part of my life that has remained consistent has been my yoga practice. I’ve been practicing yoga since I was 15 years old, starting yoga as a form of physical therapy from a swimming injury. I remember lying in my first savasana thinking, “I want to do this for the rest of my life.” And here we are today, 11 years later, a couple of teacher trainings under my best and so ready to share this deeply healing, transformative practice with the world. I teach Tantra, Hatha & Bhakti practices in combination to enhance transformation.

For me, yoga is a transformation-based practice and will change the world one breath at a time. The true yoga lives off the mat, taking the light created through asana, pranayama, mantra & meditation out into the world. The practice really begins when you step off your mat and bring your yoga to those around you, in daily interactions and connections.

I’m deeply connected to Mother Nature and am an active environmentalist. I try to use my platform as a way to remind people of the easy (and yes sometimes inconvenient) ways we can reduce our footprint and save our precious planet. Because of this inextricable connection to nature, I often theme my classes and retreats based on lunar & seasonal cycles, allowing my students to connect to their true nature.

I’m an advocate for intuitive, holistic wellness, truly listening to what your body, heart and soul needs. I aim to teach my students how to incorporate this into their daily lives, beyond the mat.

I found your blog through your guest post on currently exploring. I moved to Sydney in 2013 after meeting my aussie boyfriend in Europe as well! I agree that it is a very brave thing to move for love (not to mention a real life lifetime movie? hehe)
I moved back home when my visa expired but we are moving to New Zealand in July and then back to Australia once the partner visa gets sorted.

    Just bookmarked your blog 🙂

Hey KP, my name is Andrea Olvera and I am new to you and your website. I just wanted to say that your journey has inspired me to trust God’s plan for me. I am actually hoping to travel and do mission work in a program called the World Race in which I travel to five countries in nine months. I truly feel God has put this on my heart and I feel I am to fulfill his purpose for me. Anyways, long story short, McCall Aldridge told me about you and I am so excited she did. I hope to stay in touch with your blog and your journey. Thank you!
